The SBA 504 Program has made dreams possible for many American small business owners across the country. Since the beginning of the program, more than 4,500 loans have been made to businesses to purchase land and construct new buildings; purchase and/or renovate existing buildings; acquire and install machinery; or construct or remodel buildings on leased land.
If you take a look at some of the SBA 504 projects that have been funded across the country, it would seem projects are limited only by the imagination and ingenuity of enterprising American small business owners!
Examples of 504 Projects funded by Louisiana Capital
The Microtel Inn & Suites located in Scott, LA opened for business in March 1999. The 82 room property is owned and operated by Asian/American partners Roy Chowdry & A.J. Patel. The partners have extensive experience in the hospitality and restaurant industries. An SBA 504 loan from Louisiana Capital CDC, Inc. in Lafayette, Louisiana, provided the borrowers with an $851,000, fixed rate, 20 year term loan. The project is an enhancement to the CDC's public policy goals because it is located within an "Enterprise Zone" and it is minority business development applicable.
